It's related most closely to some wild, native Japanese guys. Zippy, skinny, rounded, green stems poke out coiling and twisting and wiggling in all directions, up to a length of 18", which makes them perfect greenery for flower arrangements; very long lasting and interesting. This is a bog plant used to its feet in water, but normal houseplant watering is in order in a pot of soil. Juncus, for some reason, prefers its water room temp. Cute in a basket or in a ceramic pot in a grouping of leafy, colored plants, Juncus really shows its silly sense of humor in a pot with a face on it, making it look like it has a wild hairdo.

• Water - Medium (3):  Water plant when dry. Plant does not like soil to always be moist, but doesn't like to stay dry once becomes dry. Water as soon as soil is dry.
• Light - Medium (3):  Plant prefers natural, diffused light. Can be placed in a spacious living room. Indirect light preferred. No direct sunlight on leaves.
• Difficulty - Medium (3):  Not too difficult to keep happy, but does require some attention.
