FIT
The Barn Door Awning / Van Awning One was designed to work in harmony with the both the SWB and LWB VW Transporter platform first and foremost however, it works with both SWB and LWB vans along with vans with Spoilers too.
We spent a lot of time making it as universal as possible. It'll be entirely compatible with all other variants of van. Vivaro, Movano, Transit, etc. We have also fitted eyelets on each corner of the canvas which allow the shorter side of Van Awning One to work well with the VW Caddy, Maxi and Transit Connect.
INSTALL
The first of rear two eyelets should be tied to one of the rear door hinges, it’ll become apparent which one is best suited quite quickly, when tying the second you’ll be wanting to pull this one as it provides the tension to hold the awning to the van along the rear door seal. Pull the front of the awning over the rear doors and peg the front to guy lines at 45 degrees away from the doors and peg them into place. Use one of the two poles provided to hold the rear doors open which will apply the last bit of tension to rigging. There are two elasticated hooks which can be lashed pulling the awning fringe back and providing more shelter from the elements.
