You will receive one rooted cactus, based on the size you selected. The taller the plant, the more mature it is and the larger its circumference. Sizes range from 1 inch to 6 inches tall.
The Penis Cactus is a rare and highly sought-after monstrose form of Trichocereus bridgesii (also known as Echinopsis lageniformis), native to Bolivia. Its humorous and distinctive growth pattern—featuring lumpy, cylindrical stems with a phallic appearance—makes it a favorite among collectors of unusual and conversation-starting plants.
This cactus typically grows slowly and forms multiple thick, upright stems. Its blue-green skin is often ribbed and may have small, sparse spines. In ideal conditions, mature plants may produce large, white, fragrant flowers that bloom at night.
Care Requirements:
- Light: Full sun to partial shade (prefers bright, indirect light in very hot climates).
- Water: Drought-tolerant; water deeply but infrequently. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings.
- Soil: Requires well-draining cactus/succulent soil.
- Temperature: Hardy in USDA zones 9–11. Protect from frost and prolonged cold.
- Growth Habit: Upright, clumping stems with a unique, irregular shape.
Special Features:
- Rare monstrose growth form
- Eye-catching and humorous appearance
- Great for collectors or as a novelty plant
This item will be shipped bare root or in its original plastic pot, depending on what is best for the plant’s health during transit.
