Howdy yโall, the only reason Iโm doing a four star review is to keep it real.
The only annoying thing with the adapter when you plug it in kind of flops goes all over the place, but that is easily remedied by how useful it is. Iโve worked at Best Buy. I study software. I like my tech to be reliable and last, this adapter has not disappointed me the last almost 4 years now! It looks the same as pictured, maybe a couple scratches now but it has held up incredibly well. I initially got so I can connect my monitor and my mouse to my MacBook Pro and that continues to be my main use for it.
Iโve discovered it also works great at connecting to my iPad Air for extending the screen, mirroring, or using my mouse. It also works great for transferring data to other USB-C compatible devices like a Samsung phone! This thing has been reliable, Iโve used it to connect to external storage drives, SD cards, microSD cards. I keep finding new uses for it. It practically lives in my work bag all the time now. Also, Iโve only had it get somewhat warm like probably 2-3 times in my entire time of using it.
The reason I come back to review after all these years is my younger sibling asked if they could have my adapter and Iโve never felt so firmly in saying absolutely not. Iโm grateful that you can still buy this because a lot of things Iโve purchased on Amazon havenโt lasted. When you find something good like this, especially in this day where things are built to break, you canโt help but appreciate the things that are reliable and consistent.

Best thing I could buy for my MacBook Air. Super helpful and takes up minimal space when using. Connection is very sturdy when using and the speed when transferring things is phenomenal.
