vintage 1940s dress Vintage 1940s Embellished Peplum DressThis vintage 1940s dress features a peplum at the waist and embellishment at the bottom. The crepe material falls beautifully, and the rich cranberry hue really stands out. The waist is emphasized by a belt, and peplums extend over the hips. The shape of the bodice is classic 1940s it's meant to be loosely fitted, but just skim the body, rather than hugging every curve. The bodice extends to little cap sleeves which beautifully heightens this effect.

Super versatile and seasonless! It closes with a side zipper.
Measurements: Shown unpinned on a size X-Small. Will best fit a size Small (or X-Small) but please refer to below measurements (note the side zipper closure).
Chest: 34" laid flat (with some extra room thanks to darts)
Waist: 27.5" laid flat, up to 28.5" stretched taut
Hips: 36"
Length: 44" from shoulder to hem (can very easily be hemmed)
Great vintage condition overall, with some minor wear commensurate with age, mainly some wear to the fabric of the belt, which does not detract from its beauty or wearability— it presents like new! With any questions about the specific condition or size, please email [email protected] for additional photos or measurements, as all sales are final.
