The gold foil design was found on the back of a 1713 mirror that once belonged to the Duchess de Berry.  Extensively documented, truly a fabulous addition to any collectors archive.

The dress is a wonderful stretch lycra in pearl white. Due to the sheen in the reflective fabric, the shade of white tends to vary from photo to photo. Pale gold shimmers wonderfully. As with all pieces of this collection, gold foil does stretch and crack- an added charm to the livable nature of this collection. Good condition with a few flaws shown in the photographs. Ample stretch.
