Make this delightful 1940s era dress that features a scalloped or picot self-fabric edging that was popular at the time.  Made in a single fabric, the edging creates a sweet and subtle embellishment, adding a contrasting fabric makes for a stunning finish.  The simple design of the dress includes a rolled collar with short puffed sleeves.  The waistline falls at the natural waist with a knee length gathered skirt.  The dress opens all the way in the back for easy dressing and is fastened with six buttons, although hook-and-loop tape or snaps can be used, if preferred.  A set of bias cut ties help to adjust the fit while adding a little extra adornment to the back.


This PDF sewing pattern by Keepers Dolly Duds is designed to fit 18" dolls such as American Girl®.

Suggested Fabrics: Dress in medium weight cotton, cotton blends, cotton shirting, gingham, wool shirting, silk, or linen.  Lightweight fabrics such as cotton batiste can be used, but are not recommended.  Not suitable for knits.

    • View A & B Dress ~ 1/2 yard 45” wide fabric

    • Thread
    • Six 3/8” buttons (snaps or hook-and-loop tape can be used, if preferred)
    • Six inches 1/8” wide ribbon for decorative bow

I DONT BELIEVE THAT MANY PEOPLE REALIZE JUST HOW MUCH YOU CAN DO FULL BODY EXERCISES WITH JUST TWO HAND WEIGHTS. I bought these because I’m finally trying to build a consistent home workout routine and didn't want to drop a fortune on name-brand weights. I’ve been using this 10lb pair for about a month now for everything from overhead presses to lunges, and honestly, they’re exactly what I was looking for. The Pros: • That Neoprene Grip: The coating is fantastic. Even when my hands get pretty sweaty halfway through a workout, I don’t feel like I’m going to drop them. It’s a much "softer" feel than cold metal or hard plastic. • The Hex Shape: This is a small detail that makes a huge difference. Since the ends are hexagonal, they don't roll across the floor when I set them down between sets.
