Amazing prairie dress from the 1960, likely from the centennial celebration in Canada from 1967. The dress features a basque waist that has a thick, structured bodice reinforced with stiff cotton canvas. It's topped with a cute peter pan collar, trimmed in lace and a ruffle trim sewn into the princess seams of the bodice. The skirt is gathered at the waist and is very full and sweeping. It features a ruffled hem also trimmed in lace, and gathered for more fullness. The sleeves are 3/4 length with belled cuffs that are gathered and trimmed in lace too. It's made of an adorable, retro cream and orange floral print with little hearts, vases, candelabras and other sculptures. It zips up at centre back with a metal zipper.

COLOR: Cream, Orange, Green, Yellow

MATERIAL: 100% Cotton

LABEL: None, Homemade

CONDITION: Very good overall. There is some fading on the sleeves and a few areas that have some discolouration or the odd faint stain on the skirt but it is very hard to tell because the skirt is so full.

Detailed View of the Important Montgomery Movement
Format: Kindle
If you have read The Autobiography of Martin Luther King Jr (MLK), incidents of the bus boycott in Montgomery, Alabama are duplicated but conveyed in more detail. The book clearly explained the life and mindset of the participants of the movement. It is a treasury of information on the life, personality and mind of MLK that have guided him throughout his vocation as leader of a non-violent anti-slavery movement. It will benefit all blacks and immigrants like me, even the Left and Radicals, to read MLK's books at this time and in this place of our present world. We can all benefit to apply his movement to our times to make America a better place.

In his own words, King promotes peace and integration through boycotting
Format: Paperback
Martin Luther King Jr. was not only an excellent writer but an incredible man. This books exemplifies the usefulness of peaceful protest and boycotting and how such actions successfully ended segregation in many businesses in the South. This work also destroys the myth that Martin Luther King had a soft spot for un-peaceful protest and rioting. In his own words he proves that this could not be further from the truth. A brilliant book by a brilliant man.

Very informative
Format: Paperback
Dr. King shares his involvement in the Montgomery bus boycott and emphasizes his philosophy of non-violence. I also found interesting Dr. King's critique of Marxism which can be found in this book.

Short accessible great read on one of the most beautiful beings this world has yet seen
Format: Audiobook
This is a very short, quick-paced story of the beautiful heart-mind that was called Gandhi. It does a great job at getting at the essence of Gandhi (depending of course on your already built paradigm and the glasses you are wearing). Highly recommended along with his Autobiography - I read his autobiography and watched the movie before reading this one, possibly the other way around works too. He is such an inspiration! Great few hours spent. And to come back to.
