Designed by Alexander McQueen in 2007, this silk charmeuse dress is McQueen's updated take on a 1920's flapper dress. It drapes asymmetrically at the neckline to reveal the nude tulle net under layer that is embellished with bugle beads, rhinestones, round silver beads and seed pearls, all forming a beautiful design.

The hemline carries the same beaded design, with strings of beaded fringe hanging along the scalloped hemline. The back of the dress is shirred just below the waist, and has a plunging back, revealing the same fine net beaded insert.

The dress is labeled a size 40 (approximately a UK size 12, US size 8), and still has its original tags attached, though the sticker that is usually on the back of the gray tag has fallen off. A beautiful example of Alexander McQueen's talent in a timeless, wearable piece that is reminiscent of the 1920's.
