This 1930s evening gown once belonged to a Viennese opera singer and reflects the sophistication and glamour of the era’s formal wear. The dress combines black satin with black net tulle, creating a striking contrast of textures that drapes gracefully on the body.

This 1930s evening gown features a satin bodice with a deep V netted neckline and sheer net sleeves that extend into dramatic bishop cuffs gathered at the wrists. The shoulders are structured in satin, creating an elegant frame for the neckline. The skirt falls to an asymmetrical hemline, measuring slightly longer at the back for a subtle train effect, enhancing the dress’s sense of movement and poise.  The is a rhinestone on metal rondelle appliqué posed at the centre back seam.  It likely had a slip originally, I purchased it as it is.

Sizing:  Although this 1930s evening gown should fit a medium to large size, please rely on the following measurements for fit (taken flat):

Shoulders: 18” across the satin shoulder, from netted sleeve to netted sleeve

Sleeves: 27” from satin shoulder (bishop style, gathered at cuff)

Sleeve inseam: 23”

Bust: 39”

Waist: 33”

Hips: 39”

Length: 55” front, 58” back

Condition: Overall very good for its age, with a few scuffs to the satin, visible in the last two photos - there are also some fray separations to the fabric around the lower area of the dress.  These aren’t at a stress point, but some type of reinforcement would lend some support.  There are a few small repairs to the netting and a couple of the buttons have lost their cloth cover.  Despite all of this, the dress still presents itself very well and is sure to make an impression.

Origin: Vienna, Austria – circa 1930s

This is a lovely 1930s evening gown - quite the sexy bodice!

Good value for solar watch
Color: Black/Orange
Nice watch! It is plastic like but it is solar. No indiglo button only a little luminous on the hands so you don't want to wear it in tje dark and expect to check the time. 45mm case is good size for my wrist and the band works good also, Not too long not too short. Overall a good watch with no problems

Do not buy
Color: Green/Black
Do not buy. When I received the watch it did not work and the battery was dead. I bought a new battery and it killed that one as well after about a month.

Inexpensive doesn’t mean cheap.
Color: Black/Orange
After 10 months, zero complaints. Well, I got rid of the horrible NATO strap 🙄. That’s a personal preference. Easy to swap out to whatever you like. Keeps accurate time meaning it’s the same time. I’m not micro analyzing it and the seconds gained/lost. It has a confident look and feel and makes you feel good when wearing it. Sure it’s not high priced but it’s not cheap. Very comfortable, light and not unincumbered. If this is what you’re looking at, you’d be satisfied. Great looking, durable and simple watch. Full confidence.

Budget Seiko Prospex this is not
Color: Black/Orange
Bought this as a cheap work watch, but I guess all the budget went into the solar technology. No date adjust feature, gotta crank the crown over and over to adjust the date. (Also no screw-down crown, but that's expected at this price) Fake diver bezel. Lol why? Cringe as heck. Should of just put a compass bezel on there instead tbh. Cheap plastic crystal, scratches and mars just by looking at it. Okay NATO strap. Falls apart quickly, but it's easily replaceable with a better quality one. Decent lume on the hands, but none on the hour markers even though it looks like there is. Looks cool.
