Description: This striking 1940s cocktail dress exemplifies the era's architectural silhouette with its commanding tailored construction. The lustrous black crepe foundation is elevated by a reverse collar piped in contrasting purple, while dramatically sculpted shoulders command attention. Delicate shirring at the wrists adds refined detail, while the signature tiered peplum—each tier precisely piped in purple—creates dimensional movement below the waistline. The showstopping element is the oversized draped bow cascading down the center back, a hallmark of 1940s evening wear sophistication. A remarkable example of vintage couture craftsmanship and period-appropriate glamour.
Condition: Gently Worn with vintage wear. The hem needs to be resewn
