This story will cause you to ponder your own living legacy through the lives of six women -- Emma, Rachel, Laurel & Barb, Julie and Marla. It all begins with a bolt of green velvet in the 1879 and travels to our present day and age.

The Green Velvet Christmas Dress is a beautiful hardbound book by writer and storyteller, Melea J. Brock, with illustrations (full color paintings) by Janelle Kujath, graphic design and cover by Joshua Petrillo. 

The book is also available in a green velvet-like gift sleeve for $18.00. Also available: in a green gift-sleeve, signed and limited numbered ( __ through 100) for $25.00.

The story also exists in two play forms (and available for performance use) and will be performed in the San Gabriel Valley, December of 2023.

Although we have queen-sized beds, we typically use standard-sized pillows. One of the quilt sets I got this Christmas time came with queen sized pillow shams, and the standard pillows just didn't fill them properly. I could have sewn flanges on either side of the shams, but I decided to order these pillows instead. The are almost wide enough to fully fill those shams that started all this additional purchasing. (I also ended up ordering pillow protectors for the queen sized pillows.) The pillows are fluffy and substantial for now. My husband manages to flatten out pillows almost no matter how they start our. For now, so far so good. They re a medium-weight and fullness, I would say. They do a good job of showing off the pillow sham design, so that's a plus. I'm not planning for us to sleep on them, but they are added back support while watching TV. They are primarily for decorative purposes when the bed is made with the quilt and shams. They were a reasonable value for the intended purpose.
