There’s quiet beauty in cherry wood, with a warmth that deepens with age and grows more beautiful the longer it’s around. The Sunrise Dresser captures this timeless character with its smooth curves and round, leaning legs, a form inspired by Japanese architecture. Handcrafted in Columbus, Ohio, this dresser is one of our most cherished designs, combining everyday function with heirloom-quality beauty.
Benefits of Premium Cherry Wood
- Ages gracefully: Cherry’s color deepens over time, maturing into a rich reddish-brown that exudes warmth and depth.
- Refined grain: Its fine, smooth texture highlights the dresser’s clean lines and sculptural details.
- Heritage quality: Long regarded as the gold standard for fine furniture, cherry is prized for its enduring strength and elegance.
Sunrise Dresser Best Features
- Handcrafted joinery: Every curve and corner of this dresser was built by the hands of skilled artisans. They use time-honored, traditional joinery—like the dovetail joints you see on the drawers—to ensure this piece is not only beautiful but also strong enough to last for generations.
- Sustainably finished: This solid wood dresser is protected by our signature organic oils and waxes, which work beautifully with natural hardwood.
- Design inspired by tradition: The round, gently leaning legs echo the torii gates of Japanese shrines, blending strength with grace.
- Spacious storage: Six full-extension drawers offer generous storage for clothing, linens, and other everyday items.
- Soft-close drawers: Precision slides ensure each drawer shuts safely and quietly—no slamming, ever.
