1950s Bombshell Sun Dress

The blue dress Marilyn Monroe wears when photographed with Arthur Miller in 1957.

Some like it hot in our ever popular, retro Sun Dress with shelf bust and gathered skirt, emphasizing those hourglass curves and a definitely a showstopper for any occasion, whether it's for day or night. The Marilyn Dress dress also looks amazing teamed with a bolero jacket and hat! This 'easy to sew' sewing pattern is available in multi-sizes which is ideal for the beginner sewer. The gathered bodice front attaches to your midriff which shapes up underarm and the bias-cut shoestring straps have tacked on bows. Now it's your turn to be a pinup bombshell star! The bodice is on the larger size so we would recommend a toile (mock-up first).

You can feel something when you apply it, it's almost like the feeling of static electricity, but it's very mild. I wouldn't let that stop you from giving it a try if you were concerned about it. It didn't cause my sensitive skin any breakouts or redness (although I was applying it at night before bed, so perhaps any redness was calmed overnight). I'm going to go ahead and finish the bottle, but based on these results, I probably won't repurchase.
