Dries Van Noten – Autumn/Winter 1996
From a season celebrated for its tactile contrast and subtle drama, this rare long tank dress captures Dries Van Noten’s mastery of textile and silhouette. Crafted from 100% rayon knit, the piece features an ornate, flocked velvet motif across the bodice—bringing rich, baroque texture to its otherwise minimalist form.
Delicate self spaghetti straps, a darted bustline, and a soft back slit create graceful movement. The slightly asymmetrical hemline adds a final poetic touch to this quietly striking archival piece.
