Kokomo Tank Top & Dress Knitting Pattern (English)

Kokomo Tank Top // Dress is a classic tank model with shoulder straps and a u-shaped neck back and front. The design can be worked as a top or a dress - the mesh pattern is very tensile and therefor perfect for both top and dress with a tight fit. 

The top/dress is worked from the top down by casting on for the strap with provisional cast-on technique. The first part of the strap is worked straight down in a mesh pattern with increases at the bottom. The second half of the strap is worked in the same way on the basis of the cast-on stitches. Another strap is worked.

Now the straps are joined by cast-on stitches and worked in the round. The work is finished with an i-cord.

Both top and dress can be worked in a heavy or light version. The knitting gauge is the same, but the lighter yarn will make the structure of the stitches looser and make the eyelets of the mesh structure stand out. In the photos the top is the light version and the dress is the heavy version. 

Choice of size

The top/dress has a negative ease of 10-15 cm. This means you should choose a size measuring 10-15 cm less than your chest circumference. If your chest measures 96 cm, you should choose a size M with a circumference of 85 cm.
