Bells of Ireland (Moluccella laevis) – Tall, Elegant, and Symbolic of Good Luck 💚🌿✨

Bells of Ireland is a stunning annual known for its tall, spire-like stems lined with vibrant lime green, bell-shaped calyxes that surround tiny white flowers. Elegant and architectural, this unique plant adds height, texture, and a fresh pop of green to garden beds, borders, and floral arrangements.

Often associated with good fortune and prosperity, Bells of Ireland are prized in both fresh and dried bouquets. They make an excellent cut flower with long vase life, and the dried stems maintain their shape and color beautifully for year-round decor.

Why Grow Bells of Ireland?

💚 Unusual & Eye-Catching – Adds height and a striking green accent to any planting scheme.
💚 Symbol of Good Luck – A meaningful addition to wedding bouquets or gifts.
💚 Great Cut Flower – Long-lasting in fresh arrangements and perfect for drying.
💚 Pollinator Friendly – Attracts bees and beneficial insects.
💚 Cool-Season Hardy – Thrives in cooler temps and can be planted early in spring.

Growing Tips:

  • Prefers full sun and well-drained soil.

  • Start indoors for best results, or sow directly in early spring.

  • Grows up to 24–36 inches tall, so may need support in windy areas.

  • Harvest when bells are fully developed and before the tiny flowers fade.

Whether you're planting for beauty, bouquets, or good fortune, Bells of Ireland brings elegance, charm, and a touch of the unexpected to every garden. 🌿💫

Disappointed
Color: S6-muti-color
These were great for about 20 minutes then they stopped squeaking...we have 2 left that I have saved but the other 4 do not squeak anymore...disappointed as my dog loves to squeak things...would not buy these again...My dog is only an 8lb dog too...but he can still play with the balls without the squeak...

Great Value for a ball my dog loves!
Color: S6-muti-color
I wish these ball were in the subscription program! My dog gets sooo excited by the new ball, but her interest in things lasts for a few days. She kills the squeak within 11minutes, but the squeaker stays in place rather than becoming a chocking or swallow hazard, and she still loves to chew it. Next, we must throw the ball approximately 723 times the first day, possibly 496 times on day 2, and just 3- 4 on day 3, at which point she will chase the ball before hollering "it's over here if you need it," while she checks on the chipmunk den. We currently have 17 of these balls in our yard (because we have given several leftovers to a less discriminating doodle next door). These balls hold up really well, get her extremely active for the first couple of days, and are a much cheaper than doggie daycare (after an active morning with a new ball, she is happy to chew on it and sleep much of the day). I always have these on hand!

Pieces chewed off
Color: white & green
My Aussiedoodle loves it. I throw it down the hallway, it bounces crazy, and he chases it. The only complaint is that he can't chew much of the ball part. So now I have to have it put away and brought out for special playtime.

Colorful, Sturdy & Great Value
Color: Large Set of 4
Purchased for our two puppies when they were 2 months old and weighed about 14 pounds so theses balls were a little big for them to hold in their mouths but that didn't stop them from trying. While they did like these balls they much preferred softer soccer balls, the later of which did not hold up well at all. I had hoped they would play with these balls more when they were older but that hasn't happened 5 months later. I guess it's no fun if you can't tear the toy apart. Colors are very bright and they do enjoy chasing after them as long as I am the one rolling them across the room for them. Maybe when they progress to batting things with their paws they will start to do this for themselves.
