Bring a touch of the tropics to your garden or home with Colocasia esculenta ‘Black Ruffles’. Often called elephant ear, this stunning variety is prized for its bold, jet-black leaves and their elegant, ruffled edges. Vigorous and eye-catching, it thrives in sun or part shade and loves consistently moist soil - making it a natural fit for borders, pond edges, statement containers, or even as a dramatic houseplant for low light conditions. While perfect as showpiece indoor plants, MicroStarts Colocasia esculenta 'Black Ruffles' can also thrive outdoors in tropical and mild climates as a shade-loving landscape plant.
