The Corten Steel Bottomless Square Planter has a no base construction and allows roots to grow freely into the ground, making it ideal for larger shrubs, vegetable beds and young trees. Crafted from premium weathering steel, this planter delivers functional beauty and long-lasting performance in any outdoor space. Available in multiple sizes, it’s perfect for both small planting areas and expansive landscape layouts.
The Corten Steel naturally weathers to form a protective rust-like patina. This open-base design improves drainage, supports healthy root development, and provides superior stability for heavier plantings. As the steel transitions from steely gray to a rich rustic orange, you’ll enjoy a planter that enhances your garden’s aesthetic and stands the test of time.

The Corten Square Planter comes in Corten Steel.
Corten Steel, also known as weather resistant steel, is a very strong steel alloy. As soon as Corten Steel is exposed to the elements it will naturally weather and develop a protective layer of rust. This natural fixed coating of rust provides protection against further corrosion.
Characteristics of Corten Steel are the brown-orange rust colour and its longevity. Our Corten Steel products are delivered in an un-rusted state and the weathering process will take about 4-5 months.
Please note that during the weathering period, run-off can stain adjacent materials
