JR's association with AXiS pedals began in 1990 and his insights were key to the early development of the original AXiS Drum Pedal. For over 30 years, his "goto" pedal has been the AXiS shortboard with a skinny footboard. We are very proud to honor JR Robinson with his AXiS signature pedal! JR's Artist Series Pedal pays tribute to his long career and understanding of what a pedal should do for a working musician.
The JR Robinson Artist Series Pedals are Silver AXiS Skinny Shortboard Pedals configured with an A-CAM and MicroTune Spring Tensioner®. These pedals have a carbon fiber footboard with JR's new logo hand-painted in Axis Red. They also feature a unique beater, designed in cooperation with JR. The square head beater, featuring rounded edges, is sized and weighted for an ideal balance of responsiveness and power. It delivers a big punch when needed while remaining sensitive enough for any situation.
