Trainers embark on a journey with their starter Pokémon and explore various Gym battles, encountering powerful VMAX Pokémon along the way. The Dynamax mechanic is introduced, allowing Pokémon to grow to massive sizes and unleash devastating attacks. The expansion sets within this arc introduce new gameplay mechanics, such as Pokémon V and Pokémon VMAX, and showcase the exciting Pokémon and characters from the Pokémon Sword and Shield video games. Trainers collect and build decks around these new Pokémon, battling to become the ultimate champion of the Galar region.
