Welcome!  Here at The Grizzly Bearing Co., we are committed to helping you ensure that your bike is safe, efficient and fun to ride; so, we are very pleased to be able to offer you the exact Frame Bearing Kit for your bike that will keep your frame pivots in tip-top condition.

Kit Types
We have Bearing Kits to suit every budget; the Kits below are specific to the above model of bike and includes new bearings to replace those in all of your Frame pivot points (no other hardware, washers, seals etc are included).

All of our Frame Bearing Kits come into two variations (Max Complement and Standard, see below ) and can be purchased as a One-Off (as and when you choose to order) or as part of our Subscription Service.

  • MAX complement (recommended)

These are designed to take more load; meaning that they are stronger and more durable than standard bearings. Max complement bearings do not have a race inside them.  This means that they can fit more bearings inside compared to standard bearings that contain a race but have significantly fewer bearings.  The higher the number of bearings inside, the greater the load the bearing can withstand.

Enduro Max Kit

Full Kit - 12 Enduro Max Bearings over 3 sizes

Main Pivot - 2 Enduro Max Bearings in one size.

Rock Mount - 2 Enduro Max Bearings in one size.

Link to Shock - 2 Enduro Max Bearings in one size.

SS to Link - 2 Enduro Max Bearings in one size.

Horstlink - 4 Enduro Max Bearings in one size.

Enduro Bearings pioneered MAX type bearings over 20 years ago for bicycles to address the challenges associated with mountain bike pivots. MAX-type bearings provide 35-40% more load capacity than standard radial bearings by utilizing a special design where the maximum number of balls are inserted into the bearing, via a custom ground slot in the races. The additional balls, combined with deep race grooves in these bearings providing greater lateral support for the twisting and multi-directional forces associated with mountain bike pivots.

Grizzly Max Kit

Full Kit - 12 Max Bearings over 3 sizes

Main Pivot - 2 Max Bearings in one size.

Rock Mount - 2 Max Bearings in one size.

Link to Shock -  2 Max Bearings in one size.

SS to Link -  2 Max Bearings in one size.

Horstlink - 4 Max Bearings in one size.

As with the Enduro MAX Kits, our Grizzly MAX Kits, also, contain bearings that can provide 35-45% extra load capacity due to the removal of the bearing race.  These are strong, quality bearings at an affordable price point.

  • Standard

These do not have as many ball bearings as MAX bearings as they contain a race.  We don't, generally, recommend these bearings to be used on pivot points; however, many riders do with no issues and many Bike Brands do not differentiate between the two.  All it means is that they may require checking and replacing more frequently.

Enduro Standard Kit

Full Kit - 12 Enduro Standard Bearings over 3 sizes

Main Pivot - 2 Enduro Standard Bearings in one size.

Rock Mount - 2 Enduro Standard Bearings in one size.

Link to Shock - 2 Enduro Standard Bearings in one size.

SS to Link - 2 Enduro Standard Bearings in one size.

Horstlink - 4 Enduro Standard Bearings in one size.

"The entry standard for Enduro bearings. Enduro’s ABEC 3 bearings offer improved quality and performance over ABEC 1 bearings fitted by many OE manufacturers. Only the finest cycling components come standard with Enduro’s ABEC 3 bearings. With hardened chromium steel races, balls, and tough riveted steel retainers, these bearings are durable and the perfect low cost performance upgrade."

Grizzly Standard Kit

Full Kit - 12 Standard Bearings over 3 sizes with 4 bearings being Grizzly Max due to availability

Main Pivot - 2 Standard Bearings in one size.

Rock Mount - 2 Standard Bearings in one size.

Link to Shock - Not Available

SS to Link - Not Available

Horstlink - 4 Standard Bearings in one size.

This is our lowest priced Kit that includes bearings that still have their race; meaning that the bearing has a reduced load capacity compared to MAX bearings.  Despite not being recommended for this reason, many riders use a Standard Kit as they know that they will be swapping out the bearings frequently and/ or cleaning and reapplying grease.  Therefore, where budget is a consideration and you will be maintaining and replacing the bearings regularly, then this Standard Kit may be a good option for you.

Please note that the bearing sizes required are taken from documentation by the Bicycle Brand; therefore, there may be instances where a size may not be as expected.  If this is the case, please contact us using the Chat box below and we'll be happy to check this out for you.

The schedule pertaining to your specific bicycle kit is detailed below.

Cube recommends that pivot bearings on their full-suspension bikes are checked and replaced:-

(Info from Cube Pg 69))

Normal Use Every 500 km or once a year
Heavy or Competitive Use Every 250 km or every two months

In addition to this, it is prudent to be aware of any play at your pivot points and look to replace any worn bearings as quickly as you can to prevent damage to your frame.

FAQs

Why should I change my Frame Pivot Bearings?

Frame Bearings Kits are a fantastic way to ensure the performance, longevity and safety of your bicycle.

Depending on how frequently you ride (and the conditions you, normally, ride in), over time, your bearings can become worn and lead to some play and/ or concerning noises.  Allowing these issues to develop or a failure to rectify them quickly can lead to problems that require lengthy and expensive repairs and can jeopardise the integrity of your frame.  Ultimately, checking and replacing your Frame Pivot Bearings on a regular basis is a preventative measure but it, also, keeps your suspension running smoothly leading to an enhanced ride quality and performance that feels as if your frame is brand-spanking-new.

How often should I change my Frame Pivot Bearings?

The frequency in which you should change your Pivot Bearings is dependant upon how you use your bike and the conditions in which you ride in.  If you notice wear or play then your bearings should be replaced as soon as possible.  Out-with this, each bicycle manufacturer, usually, recommends a frequency in which to check and replace the bearings on your bike.  Where they do not provide this, the details given will be based on Industry standards.

Max Complement Bearings or Standard Bearings?

We recommend opting for Max complement bearings, wherever possible, as they are designed to take more load; meaning that they are stronger and more durable than standard bearings. Max complement bearings do not have a race in order for them to fit more bearings inside.  This is compared to standard bearings that contain a race but cannot fit as many bearings.  The higher the number of bearings inside, the greater the load the bearing can withstand.

Not all bike brands use Max bearings and some may use a mixture of both depending on the pivot.  Therefore, standard bearings are suitable but they may not last as long as a Max complement bearing would.

Do I have to buy a full Kit?

We recommend a full Kit for regular maintenance of your frame.  However, if you're experiencing wear in only one area of your frame, then we do sell Single Bearings that will meet your needs.  These are available to view here.

I'm unsure if this is the correct Kit for my bike, can you help?

Of course, please click on the chat box below and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

Interesting
Format: Kindle
So I will say I enjoyed the story, for sure had its moments where it dragged but it was a great story. I really liked that omegas picked their alphas/make the pack. Normally the Alphas make it and the omega fits in with them which is great but I enjoyed this new version where all the power basically went to the omega. It was a nice change of pace. I can admit some of the weird bedroom stuff with her being pregnant was odd, it’s really not hard to do stuff when pregnant (I know I’ve had two and it’s normal and even encouraged at the end especially if you want the baby out). But I like the story as a whole and will read the second, I do hope the next one isn’t dragged bc it stopped being action or tense after she met her alphas and I don’t think it was brought up or properly done when they tried to do it. More sweet after she left.

I’m a little disappointed.
Format: Kindle
I usually like Jillian West’s books but this one was missing a lot for me. The pregnancy didn’t come across as real. She’s on her feet for 12 hour days but is perfectly healthy at 8 months pregnant? Yet the week she moves in all of a sudden she’s not? She is planning on actually running during one of the plot buildups. But at 8 months pregnant that’s incredibly hard to do. The lack of breathing ability and lung space, the change in body center, mass, and gravity. All of it prohibits running, unless you’re an athlete this didn’t come off as at all realistic. I didn’t feel any connection with the alphas. There wasn’t any emotional connection. It could be because of the tense it was written in. But I didn’t get any deep feelings out of this. It came across as checking off boxes. Even the spicy scenes weren’t really believable for me. I wanted to see them fall for her, and it just kind of all fizzled. Even Bishop. One thing I did really like was the ending. I did not see it coming and I’m interested in reading book two because of it. But on the whole this book was mostly disappointing for me.

Vale is an 8 month pregnant omega working as a waitress at a strip club and a cam girl. She starts to get very creepy vibes from a regular at the club, and her baby daddy ghosted her. She has had an online relationship with a man named Bishop through her cam girl status. One night, bishop was paying to watch her sleep and ansthe creepy regular Andrew break in and watch her sleep he tells vale to come to him at his business now. She flees and finds herself at a large security company with some.hot of alphas who are there to help her. This imegaverse is a little different than I have read, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. Vale is not a traditional omega she was raised by a single beta mom, and the alphas are not normal alphas they have never really loved pack life. But they are ruthless mercenaries. They need her, and she needs them. I love the aspect of the stalker and now the plot twists at the end, so so good. Sometimes, it seemed a little slow and stale mated, but since this a duet, I think It was just her starting to have Vale get to know her alpha suitors. Cliffhanger for sure with this one.

That ending 😫
Format: Kindle
I fell into a false sense of security and really thought this was gearing towards a happy ending. Then I realized there’s no work they don’t punish Andrew. I really liked Vale’s character. I don’t normally read books with pregnancy but going into this knowing she was pregnant made it more enjoyable for me. I loved Bishops devotion to her and her happiness. I also loved that Holt and Mercy couldn’t fight their attraction to her. I love scent matches so very much. I’m so curious to see how this duet will end up. And I need to pay more attention and notice that a book I’m starting is a duet to begin with lol

This should be interesting! She’s gonna run and then what’s his face is gonna grab her. I’m worried! Wow that was a great book and cliffhanger! Loving this!
