Native to southern China, this easy-care plant is well suited to life indoors and is ideal for both beginners and experienced plant owners. Over time, it produces small offsets (or “pups”) at the base, which can be propagated to grow new plants.
The Chinese Money Plant prefers a bright spot out of direct sunlight. As a semi-succulent, it stores some water in its leaves, so it’s best to allow the compost to partially dry out between waterings. Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot.

- Light: Moderate to bright indirect light
- Water: Allow the top few centimetres of soil to dry before watering
- Feeding: Fortnightly during spring and summer
- Growth: Produces offsets that can be propagated
