"Shining Legends is a special 78 card expansion first made available in English on October 6, 2017. Its Japanese equivalent, the Strength Expansion Pack Shining Legends is a subset containing 82 cards that was released on July 15, 2017 in Japan, and is considered an enhancement of the third Sun & Moon Era main expansion, To Have Seen the Battle Rainbow and Darkness that Consumes Light. It features the collection symbol "SM3+".

Released in Japan to coincide with the twentieth Pokémon movie, the expansion includes several Legendary and Mythical Pokémon that were featured in all the Pokémon movies released at the time. The expansion also marked the return of Shining Pokémon to the TCG which were last seen in the Neo Destiny expansion."
