The Shigeru Kawai SK2 Classic Salon Grand Grand Piano is a handcrafted masterpiece and the first model in Shigeru Kawai's premium line of grand pianos.

Like every Shigeru Kawai instrument, the SK-2 is meticulously handcrafted by Master Piano Artisans using only the finest materials. It features a solid spruce soundboard for vibrant resonance, mahogany hammer moldings, and a precisely engineered maple bridge. Even the substantial underside beams are made entirely from premium spruce-a level of craftsmanship that sets it apart from most pianos, where lesser woods are typically used.

After over 50 years of intense striving, Shigeru desired to leave a personal legacy to the piano world. In the year 2000, he introduced the unique line of instruments that would bear his name.
