joe gore pedals Cult Germanium Overdrive – Joe's PedalsOne of the most flexible fuzz units we have ever tested. The more the gain knob was turned up, the more responsive and dynamic the guitars volume knob became, almost serving as an extension of the pedal itself. With Cults gain at the three oclock position and the guitars volume on 7, we got a great rhythm sound with enough clarity to allow open chords to bloom. Turning the guitars volume all the way up gave a very rich yet natural harmonic distortion

“One of the most flexible fuzz units we have ever tested. The more the gain knob was turned up, the more responsive and dynamic the guitar’s volume knob became, almost serving as an extension of the pedal itself. With Cult’s gain at the three o’clock position and the guitar’s volume on 7, we got a great rhythm sound with enough clarity to allow open chords to bloom. Turning the guitar’s volume all the way up gave a very rich yet natural harmonic distortion that seemed to jump from the amp, different from other fuzz units that sort of compress the entire signal.” Vintage Guitar magazine

When I delved into the germanium booster designs of the 1960s, I was astonished. How the hell did these electrifying, supremely dynamic circuits—so crucial to many of the era’s greatest recordings—fall into disuse? I studied every schematic and made dozens of clones. I felt like I’d been indoctrinated into some weird germanium cult. So when I developed my own take on those circuits, I named it Cult.

But Cult is no ’60s clone: It departs dramatically from the original ’60s circuits, providing fatter lows, fewer piercing highs, and more responsive dynamics. It just seems to “gush” more.

You probably know that 90% of today’s overdrives are related to a pedal whose name rhymes with Lube Reamer. These pedals employ an IC chip rather a discrete transistor. They compress your signal, making note attacks less prominent and limiting your dynamic range. The results are smooth and consistent—nothing wrong with that!

But Cult goes in the opposite direction, dramatically expanding your dynamic range. Note attacks crack like knuckles. Your phrases have an electrifying presence that seems to lunge from the speakers. When you hit the input hard, the bold, harmonically rich distortion maintains its edge, even in crowded musical contexts. Cult doesn’t go “squish.” It barks.

The dynamic response is simply astounding—you can go from crystalline to meltdown by touch and guitar knob settings alone. With your guitar volume rolled back, the tone is nearly indistinguishable from bypass, so you can literally leave Cult on all night and conjure a huge range of overdrive/distortion tones directly from your guitar.

Cult isn’t for everyone. If you’re looking for an overdrive to smooth out your sound for consistent, predictable results, run away! But if you’re the sort of player who likes sculpting sounds via touch and dynamics, or if you enjoy tones that walk the tightrope between clean and distorted, Cult can be a revelation.

Cult was created in San Francisco and is built in Michigan by skilled craftspeople earning a fair wage.

TO USE: Plug in with your guitar knobs at maximum, and use the single knob to set the maximum desired gain level. (I usually just floor it.) Then lower your guitar settings and soften your touch to explore the pedal’s extraordinary dynamic range. Try combining Cult with other drive and distortion effects—you’ll find that it layers beautifully.

CAUTIONS: One great thing about “Reamer” pedals is the way they provide solid distortion sounds even when the pedal’s output is turned down. Cult, on the other hand, works best when you whack your amp pretty hard. (That’s why it has no master volume control.) Cult probably isn’t a good choice if you want thick distortion at whisper volume.

Also, be sure to place Cult before any buffered devices in your effect chain. Placed post-buffer, the pedal can sound relatively thin and shrill. Cult almost always works best at or near the front of your chain. Fortunately, it sounds great driving downstream distortion pedals.

Great Vacuum Kit
Color: L40 Ultra Accessories, Color: L40 Ultra Accessories
I'm not sure if I didn't read carefully enough, or if the title/description changed afterward, but I got this for our Dreame X50, which is similar to the X40 but not quite the same. It looks like everything in this kit will work with ours, except the rollers. The rest of it, the bags, the filters, and the brushes, look the same though, and I can confirm that the mop pads work. Overall, it looks like a great set, full of everything you'd need to freshen up the robot that keeps your house fresh.

Great replacement mop pads that hold up well through multiple washes
Color: L40 Ultra Mop Pad
I've been really happy with these replacement mop pads for my x30 Ultra Dreame robot vacuum. They snap on and off easily without any tools, which makes swapping them out between cleaning sessions quick and hassle-free. The microfiber material feels dense and absorbent — comparable to the original pads that came with the unit — and they do a solid job picking up grime on my hard floors, including tile and laminate. Getting 8 pads in a pack is a great value. I rotate through them regularly and toss a few in the washing machine at a time, and so far they've held their shape and absorbency well after repeated washes. No fraying or velcro attachment issues yet. My only minor complaint is that the fit can feel slightly less snug than the OEM pads, but once the robot is running, they stay in place fine and perform just as well. Overall, a solid third-party option that saves you money without sacrificing cleaning performance.

Original equipment quality
Color: L40 Ultra Accessories
Perfect set. I held back on this review until I had to chance to try everything, and it is "OEM" quality in every way. The mop heads fit securely and are the right size and texture. The filters are exactly right and appear to be high quality materials and snug up properly. The rollers fit correctly and last as long as the originals. The brushes appear to be the same thing. Finally, the bags themselves fit well and snap shut for disposal. I would be hard pressed to tell the difference, and moreover the cost difference from original is extreme (4X or more). I'm ordering another set.

Good value bundle, everything you need
Color: L40 Ultra Accessories
I got this accessories kit for my robot vacuum and it’s actually really convenient to have everything in one pack. Instead of ordering parts separately, this includes pretty much all the main things you’ll need over time — brushes, mop pads, filters, and dust bags. The pieces fit well and are compatible with the machine as expected. Installation is simple — everything swaps out easily just like the original parts, so no issues there. Kits like this typically include the same core parts (main brush, side brushes, filters, mop pads, dust bags), which are meant to be replaced regularly to keep the vacuum working efficiently. The quality is decent overall. The mop pads absorb well and clean effectively, and the brushes pick up dirt without any problems. It may not feel exactly like the original brand parts, but for the price, it does the job. What I like most is the quantity — having multiple replacements means you don’t have to think about buying more anytime soon. It’s especially useful if you run the vacuum often.

OEM Quality at a fraction of the cost
Color: L40 Ultra Accessories, Color: L40 Ultra Accessories
I have a Dreame x50(Main floor)and a Dreame x40(Top Floor), for over a year now. I use them each 3x/week in mainly mopping downstairs(vacuuming area rugs & floor) and mainly vacuuming upstairs(carpet) and some mopping(2 bathrooms and one bedroom); so I know a little bit about accessories and what they can and cannot do. Even though these are for the Dreame x40, some of the parts fit both the x40 & x50 perfectly. As the 1st pic shows, the mop pads, corner brush, and dust bags fit perfectly on both. However the main brush, and filter insert are different. But these all fit in the x40. The only slight problem, as I pointed out in other reviews, these new filter cartridges are dark gray, not white, so can’t see the dirt as much, when cleaning them. They easily slip in and feel sturdy as the OEM. The product on left of each pic is the OEM, right is this product. The quality and design is the same as the OEM, and far less expensive. I recommend these if you own either machine.
