Great news for riders with Turbo Levo 2, Levo 3, Creo SL, Como SL and Vado SL e-bikes! Specialized have made a system upgrade that now allows the majority bikes originally equipped with Turbo Connect Unit to be retrofitted with the advanced Mastermind TCU.
A recent system update has removed the compatibility limitation between Mastermind TCU and older generation Turbo bikes originally spec’d with the Turbo Connect Unit.
MasterMind Turbo Connect Display (TCU 2) wired top-tube mounted display with colour TFT screen used on various Turbo model bikes.
• MasterMind TCU enables rider to turn their bike On/Off via the power button at the
bottom of the display.
• Display capable of showing riders a wide range of metrics that can be customized to suite
each rider's personal preference. Up to 16 pages can be created and customized.
• Text colour on the display shows the rider their current assist mode (Off: white/ Eco: blue/Trail: green / Turbo: yellow / MicroTune: orange)
• ANT+/Bluetooth functionality enables App connectivity with Mission Control or
Specialized App via pairing code.
• USB-C port for connecting to Turbo Studio or recharging the internal battery.
• Ability to display system error codes to the rider to assist in trouble shooting.
- Note - a MasterMind TCU may be unresponsive if it has sat for long enough without being charged or turned on. Connect the display to a USB-C cable and let it charge for 20-30 minutes to allow the internal battery to charge.
This item must be installed by an authorized Specialized Service Dealer - Fitting including firmware update is $60.00

Warranty Policy: In active warranty cases, the standard procedure remains like-for-like replacement. If the original bike was delivered with Turbo Connect Unit, Turbo Connect Unit must be used for any warranty replacement, regardless of upgrade eligibility.

Como SL Compatibility: Mastermind TCU is not supported on Como SL. While it can physically be installed, Como SL is not compatible with the required Remote, making Mastermind TCU non-functional on this model.

Remotes are not part of the Mastermind TCU upgrade; Turbo Connect Unit remotes will function on with Mastermind TCU, the button labelling is different. If you want a matching remote the remote needs to be upgrade as well.
