The foliage is thick, leathery, and dotted with fine glandular punctuations across the surface. It is a compact grower with an upright to semi-trailing habit and a genuine rarity among collector Anthuriums.

Origins
Native to the lower montane forests of Colombia and Ecuador, Anthurium peltigerium grows as an epiphyte or lithophyte at elevations between 400 and 1,400 metres in humid, shaded conditions.
