The Protein 2 in 1 Overdrive is a collaboration between David Brown and guitarist/producer Adam Sniegowski. After years on the road and in the studio using backline amps that could be very inconsistent, Adam came to Dave wanting to create a dual overdrive that would sound great with any backline he encountered. They started with two drives they loved, stacked well together, but had a few inherent issues. Dave set out to fix those issues without losing the soul of the originals.The Blue Side is based on the classic OD used by the likes of John Mayer on the “Continuum” album. Dave addressed issues like the lack of output, tweaked the tone control, and experimented to find what we think is our favorite version of this type of circuit while still being true to its roots.
The Green side was inspired by the classic “Nashville” overdrive. This pedal has been used on the pedals boards of session greats from Tim Pierce to Jerry McPherson. We lowered the amount of gain (distortion) to make it usable through the entire sweep of the pedal, added some of the mids back to make it not quite so scooped, and eliminated some of the woofiness in the low end. This allows it to add some low mid “beef” back into your tone without becoming muddy.
The secret “third” channel of this pedal might be our favorite. When running the green side into the blue of this pedal, you get added gain and fullness without sacrificing note clarity or getting that “mushiness” that can happen while stacking some overdrives.
V3 updates include top-mounted jacks, soft switching and a single internal switch for split mode. The same sound, the same reliability, the same Protein - only better.

No, squeaky
The rubber balls are super stiff, which is good or bad depending on your dog. The squeaker is awful and terribly designed, however, It squeaks the first time you or your dog squeezes it, then it falls off inside and it becomes a rattler instead of squeaker. I thought it was a one off thing, but nope, all of the balls had the squeaker fall off inside rattling by the 2nd attempt to make it squeak.

BEST EVER!!!
We have a medium sized furbaby. He is the most gentle baby! Except with toys. He destroys everything he gets within 5 minutes. Even the aggressive chewer toys. He’s had these for a solid 24 hours. STILL INTACT!!! He’s loving them! Well, maybe he’s actually frustrated with them! Lol. He was able to stop it from squeaking… but he’s still having a ball playing with them. Not a single rip. I think we may need to put them up for a while to give his jaws and mind a break. BUY THEM NOW!!! Your baby will love them. And if they usually tear things up…. They will be able to enjoy this for a long time!!!

MUST HAVE!!! Dog is obsessed!!!

100 PLUS STARS!!! We have a very VERY active pup (6 yrs old 🤦♀️🤦♀️)… he has destroyed EVERYTHING we have ever given him. So I ordered this AND the replacement shell. He has chewed the ball extensively but it is in PERFECT shape, no need for the replacement one YET.. I can not rave about this enough - he LOVES it, we love watching him with it and he won’t let it out of his site at all!! If we touch it he gets upset.. so when we charge it, we put the shell back together and give him that.. which reminds me - make sure you have that screwed TIGHT.. somehow he was able to get it apart.. but once we started tightening it he hasn’t been able to.. thinking about it?? GET IT!! You won’t be disappointed and neither will your dog!!

An expensive ball to think about

Went with the foam ball because I have hopes that my dogs teeth will sink in enough to be satisfying without having to shred it like a tennis ball. So far, so good. I chose this one because the of the outer shell replacement possibility; assurance that 30 dollars towards a ball would have an extended life option for half the price if needed.
It is slightly bigger than a tennis ball and big enough for my dog to be unable to get a strong clench and crush it. He does try though and it's holding up.
All of the options and modes are great.
However, I wish it acted more of a bait ball. Going through all three of the modes, I can't say any have sparked a wild chase.
It will bounce intermittently or once touched. The intervals are long enough to lose my dogs interests. Short intervals make the ball the easy loser every time.
Better on hardwood but pathetic on carpet.
It will roll but not far or very fast.
The only positives from this may be the battery conservation but when he stops playing with it, it is still rolling around the room. I think it takes 20-30 minutes of inactivity for sleep mode.
With this, the charge will last about a day of play.
It does charge quickly.
It has passed the tough chewer test with one who can chew through "tuff" toys in no time but I wish it was more of a challenge.
After telling my sister i purchased one, she said she would've given me hers because her dog had lost interest. Go with your hunch and find another game to invest in if you have trepidations of this being this case.
I won't deduct anymore stars because the product is as advertised. Only one deducted for the price.
