The Grade 3 from Academy is a 16-inch bike that was specially developed for children. In collaboration with the German Institute for Orthopaedics and Sports in Bielefeld, Academy has set itself the goal of producing a children's bike that is as light and high-quality as possible and that is optimally tailored to children. Ergonomics and weight have had a decisive influence here.

Product Details

Weight is a crucial factor, especially for children who want to learn to ride a bike. The Grade 3 from Academy weighs just 5.5 kg and is one of the lightest children's bikes on the market. Due to its low weight, the Academy Grade handles better in corners and makes it easier for little riders to accelerate and overcome inclines. With a light bike, little ones don't need as much strength to get the bike moving.

The low step-through height of the frame allows children to climb on easily. The patented Vario stem grows in height and length and can be continuously adjusted so that the bike can be optimally adapted to the sitting position. The Q-factor reflects the pedaling movement of the rider. For children, it is particularly important to install a low Q-factor so that pedaling is optimally tailored to the children.

All Academy items are 80% pre-assembled. The front wheel, pedals, handlebars and saddle must be assembled. We recommend checking and re-adjusting the brakes before use.
