Lily of the Valley is a delicate perennial herb known for its charming, bell-shaped white flowers and sweet, intoxicating fragrance. Its deep green, glossy leaves provide a lush backdrop for the dainty blooms, which typically appear in clusters during late spring to early summer. Highly valued for its ornamental beauty, it is also a popular choice in perfumery and bridal bouquets, symbolizing purity and happiness.

Growing Guide:

  1. Soil: Prefers well-draining, humus-rich soil. Amend with compost or leaf mold for optimal growth.

  2. Light: Thrives in partial to full shade; avoid direct sunlight, especially in hot climates.

  3. Watering: Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Increase watering during dry spells.

  4. Fertilization: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring to encourage blooming.

  5. Propagation: Best propagated by dividing rhizomes in autumn or early spring.

Planting Season:
The ideal time to plant is in autumn (September–November) or early spring (March–April) when temperatures are mild, allowing roots to establish.

Symbolism:
Lily of the Valley signifies "the return of happiness" and "pure love." In Western culture, it is considered a lucky charm, often used in weddings and May Day celebrations. In France, it is traditionally gifted on May 1st as a token of good fortune.

Caution:
All parts of the plant are toxic if ingested—keep away from children and pets.

Whether grown in gardens or containers, Lily of the Valley brings timeless elegance and a touch of enchantment to any space!

It's one of the only toys that we originally got for our pup that has lasted
Color: Blue goose - pineapple plush
We got a lab mix (we think with a Great Dane) on Labor Day weekend 2025. She has destroyed 100% of the toys we got her that weekend, with the exception of this duck. Yes, it is missing it's feet at this point (they got chewed off and torn sometime around Halloween), but the duck itself is still intact. She chews on the duck every day, it's one of her favorite toys, and it's seen some things. We've washed it a few times in the laundry machine, and it looks nice a clean every time we pull it out and let it dry. She's gnawed on it through losing puppy teeth and getting adult teeth, and she's is currently chewing away on her duck on her bed in the living room. I understand others have reported really mixed reviews, but I'm so glad we got this duck and it's one of the only toys we've bought that I feel like was worth the price because it didn't get destroyed immediately. We plan on buying another one for Christmas.

My Dog Hates It, Yours Might Like It
Color: Blue goose - pineapple plush
Material is nice, squeaker is not that great. My dog hates this toy and refuses to interact with it I've tried multiple times to get him to play with it and he'll immediately stop playing if I touch this toy and try to get him to play with it.

Not worth the purchase
Color: Blue goose - pineapple plush
Not for aggressive chewers, my GWP destroyed this in 30 mins. The fins are completely gone and he’s already disinterested. There are better options out there.

My dog loved this toy, however it is not indestructible, he had it in 2 pieces within a day, but I do need to say he is a big boy and we haven’t found a toy yet that he can’t destroy
