Death by Audio Destroyer Series Dream Station

Stereo Reverb Transmissions

The Dream Station is like two Death By Audio pedals in one! It's an instant mood creator, blending DBA-style reverb and delay to plunge your signal into a vivid fantasy hallucination.

Three filter settings let you radically shape the tone and character of the effects, opening up a myriad of soundscapes at your fingertips and exploding your sound into super-wide stereo.

From shimmering, lush pads to wild slapback insanity, ping-pong comb filtering, and swirling atmospherics, the Dream Station delivers a full palette of sonic reflection for bending reality and dreams alike. In this compact package, you can create any combination of echo and reverb with the Dream Station's easy-to-use interface and feel the power of a full-stereo ambience in our smallest reverb ever. With the three filter settings, you can explore different spaces from airy and bright, dark and moody, and full-range digital. And when you really want to go crazy, crank the ECHO F-BACK to blow your bandmates away.

Part of Death By Audio's Destroyer Series, the Dream Station sports the line's signature look: a compact footprint, glowing vintage-style LED display, and minimal controls that conceal a world of sonic madness. Each Destroyer pedal delivers a distinct, over-the-top effect in a smaller, stage-friendly box - together forming a family of beautifully chaotic tone machines in stereo.

KEY FEATURES

  • Reverb and Delay - Combines 2 classic ambient effects in one package.
  • Dial In The Ambiance - Reverb blends from slight air to crushing wall.
  • Full Stereo Operation - True stereo operation expands your sound from mono to massive with ping-pong delay for an extra wide stereo field.
  • Perfect In Any Place - Perfect for mono or stereo chains and with wet/dry mix to fit into any scenario, recording or live
  • Just the Frequencies You Need - Powerful filter section changes reverb and delay tone, putting you right in the sweet spot.
  • Pedalboard-Friendly - A bite-sized package with a massive sound.
  • Tour-Grade Build Quality - Rugged enclosure, top quality components, hand assembled, and built to last.

CONTROLS

MODE SWITCH - Selects between BRIGHT, FULL, and DARK filter settings for the delay and reverb.

BRIGHT - Low frequencies are filtered out for a splashy, airy "tape" sound.

FULL - No filtering; a complete, uncolored tone for a clean "digital" sound.

DARK - High frequencies are filtered out, creating a warm, analog-style sound.

MIX - Balances between 100% dry and 100% wet signals. When TRAILS is activated (internal control) and the pedal is bypassed, MiX still sets the volume of the wet signal.

REVERB TIME - Adjusts the overall reverb length. Turn it down for subtle ambience or pure delay; turn it up for lush, immersive reverb.

ECHO TIME - Sets the delay time from 2ms to 500ms. In stereo mode, the delay will ping-pong between outputs at half the set time.

ECHO F-BACK - Controls the feedback of the delay. Pushing past ~3 o'clock may trigger oscillation.

INTERNAL CONTROLS

Access these controls by removing the backplate of the Dream Station.

INPUT CONFIGURATION SWITCH - Switch between mono TS and stereo TRS.

  • MONO INPUT - Standard mono or mono-to-stereo operation. Lights up "M" on the faceplate when active.
  • STEREO INPUT - Full stereo operation. Lights up "S" on the faceplate.

TRAILS CONFIGURATION - Determines whether delay and reverb trails continue when bypassed.

  • TRAILS - Effect trails continue when bypassed.
  • NO TRAILS - Effects are muted when bypassed.

INPUTS AND OUTPUTS

The Dream Station features TRS stereo input and output for mono or stereo operation.

  • MONO - Use a TS cable for both INPUT and OUTPUT.
  • MONO TO STEREO - Use a TS cable for INPUT and a TRS cable for OUTPUT. Note: Set MONO/STEREO internal switch to Mono Input.
  • STEREO - Use a TRS cable for both INPUT and OUTPUT. Note: Set MONO/STEREO internal switch to Stereo Input.

SPECS

DIMENSIONS - 5.16" × 2.76" × 2.38" (including hardware).

WEIGHT - 10.4 oz.

POWER - The Dream Station operates on a standard 9V DC power supply (2.1mm, center-negative). We recommend Death By Audio's RAW POWER power supply for optimal performance.

Addictive as almond M&M's
Format: Paperback
I once read a book that blew the whistle on the abuses in the system that produces young elite figure skaters and gymnasts. One mother said of another mother that she was very likeable, but she'd cut your throat behind your back. That describes a lot of Freida McFadden's heroines (and their besties) to a t. At least one of the following always occurs in these novels. 1. If someone says, "Eh, I'm sure it's nothing," it's not. If someone believes their husband is too busy working to have an affair, he isn't. If someone suspects a knife is missing from the block, it is. 2. If a child or teen bitterly complains of being a victim of peer conflict, there's a good chance he/she is the instigator. They may even have committed or assisted in a murder in the past. 3. At some point, you will be told point blank that the character you have just spent a good chunk of the book with is the polar opposite. And even if you're familiar with the books, it may come as at least a partial surprise since this doesn't occur in most novels. 4. Everyone in the book has a secret, even if it's just hair dye. 5. There's also what I call the "Cold Case" rule: Don't argue near stairs. Ever. But I digress. At first, happily married to a great guy Naomi Roth doesn't really protest when her husband Jeremy, after having changed the locks, insists that she go and stay at the apartment he bought for his now-deceased parents. She believes, despite a few stray doubts, that he is telling the truth when he says that it's just renovations and that it will be better this way - and he's even thoughtfully packed for her. However, soon after that, Naomi is told in no uncertain terms that Jeremy wants a divorce, which makes her a pariah with her fellow mothers, except one. Is her husband having an affair, and if so, what secrets does his mistress have? And who the heck committed the murder in the preface (there's almost one in every book, so it isn't much of a spoiler)? As always, the author makes writing fiction look effortless, which if you've actually sat down to write some, know it usually isn't. Another addictive read.

Heartbreaking and beautiful
Format: Kindle
This book reads like living. I was able to be Sybil, not just observe her. I found the experience of reading her story authentic and cathartic in a way. At the middle of my life it provoked a sense that’s there can be goodness and purpose in aging.
