The clever part is how it stays tight and clear even with bigger pickups: Feed lets you trim bass before the gain so things don’t get muddy, while Body shapes mids and compression from open and transparent through to fat and singing.
Controls & switching
- Feed: pre-gain + bass trim for tighter, clearer drive
- Body: adjusts mids/compression (it’s basically a “feel” control)
- Gain: sets the amount of drive
- Tone: usable across the full range from dark to bright
- Level: output volume
- Headroom switch (LO/HI): engages internal voltage doubling for either softer/compressed (LO) or louder, punchier, tighter response (HI)
Internal trim pots
Inside you’ll find Presence (highs) and Bass (bass/low-mids) trimmers for fine-tuning to your rig.
Power
Runs on a 9V battery or a regulated 9VDC centre-negative 2.1mm supply. The Headroom switch uses an internal circuit to double the supplied voltage (i.e., 18V internally from a 9V supply). Do not use more than 9V or AC.
