⛩ Monkey D. Luffy, also known as "Mugiwara", is the main protagonist of the anime One Piece .
He is the founder and captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, now considered the crew of the 5th Yonko. Luffy even rivals the other Yonko in terms of power, who are considered the most powerful pirates in the One Piece world.
Born in the village of Fuchsia, Luffy accidentally ate a demon fruit at the age of 7, which turned his body into rubber, which allowed him to develop techniques such as the Gear 2nd, the Gear 3, the Gear 4 and finally the Gear 5.
The Gear Fifth is the name of a fighting technique of Monkey D. Luffy which appeared for the first time during the Onigashima war. It is the awakened form of his Fruit. When he activates the Gear Fifth, Luffy covers himself with Weapon Haki but also with Kings Haki. Luffy will tell Bonney that this transformation is the form he takes when he is free.
