The mature leaves are surprisingly hard and leathery. This makes the plant extra resistant to drier indoor air, and is therefore perhaps the easiest to care for of all velvet-leaved anthurium varieties. Botanical Description

Anthurium clarinervium comes from Chiapas in southern Mexico, where it grows in tropical and seasonally dry forests, often directly on limestone cliffs between 400–1000 meters in altitude.

The plant only grows to about 30–40 cm tall, but the leaves can grow up to 25 cm long and have a distinctive shape. They are slightly cup-shaped, with a deep notch at the base where the “ears” of older leaves often overlap.

Care
