Lilium Sunset Patio Blend is the perfect choice for container gardening, offering a cheerful mix of Asiatic lilies that grow to just 12 to 18 inches tall. These vibrant lilies bloom in a striking palette of yellow, orange, and red, making them a dazzling addition to patios, small gardens, or any outdoor space. Their long-lasting flowers are also perfect for fresh summer bouquets.
Featuring hardy Lilium x asiaticum varieties, this blend is well-suited for Zones 3-8 and reliably returns year after year. With their upright habit and compact size, Sunset Patio Blend lilies are ideal for planting in decorative pots, patio containers, or in garden beds and borders. For gardeners using containers, transfer the root ball into the ground before frost to ensure successful overwintering. These lilies are a great choice for cutting gardens, adding vibrant blooms to your arrangements.
Sunset Patio Blend lilies thrive in sunny spots (6-8 hours) but tolerate partial shade. To keep roots cool, apply mulch and consider planting alongside low-growing companions. They perform best in nutrient-rich, well-drained soil but adapt well to average garden soil. Keep the soil moderately moist, avoiding overwatering or letting it dry out completely to prevent bulb rot. Deadhead faded blooms and wait for the foliage to naturally yellow before trimming back to prepare the bulbs for the following season. Naturally resistant to deer and critters, these lilies offer worry-free beauty.
Plant bulbs in early spring, spacing them 3 to 4 inches apart and burying them 3 to 4 inches deep. With minimal care, Sunset Patio Blend lilies will bring colorful charm to your garden or patio year after year.
