This baby English Boxwood tree is really a treat for miniature gardening - it can be grown outdoors in temperate climates in bright shade or cool sun, or indoors in as much bright, indirect light as you can.

Boxwoods are excellent container plants. They don't mind their roots cramped, they can be pruned anytime and are evergreen.

They really look like an outdoor tree in miniature. The bright yellow and green leaves are very cheerful. Read-on and find out just how versatile they are below.

It can be grown indoors with plenty of light - You can add light anywhere: Find grow-bulbs that fit any of your regular indoor lamps at your local hardware store or online. You'll need this extra light in the winter - the natural light from your windows may not be enough.

  • fun, reliable and low maintenance
  • indoor - bright, indirect light, regular water
  • outdoor cold zones 5 - 9, part sun/part shade
  • outdoor heat zones 9 - 6
  • regular water
  • hot afternoon sun in the summertime will burn the leaves if its in a really dry spot
  • don’t let it dry out between watering
  • comes in a 4” pot
  • growth rate is 2 to 3" per year and doesn’t mind pruning
  • fertilize after 2 years if planted in a container

Versatile:

  • slow-growing, variegated form of the common boxwood
  • grow indoor or outdoors
  • will suit a variety of miniature garden sizes
  • prune at any time, snip the stem just above a set of leaves to hide the cut mark
  • shear it gradually into a fun topiary shape
  • prune off some of the lower leaves to show more trunk to look like a tree
  • groom several into a hedge by planting them side by side

NOTE: In spring when the weather warms up OR if this plant is coming from our cold nursery to your warm house, it will emit a strong odor. This is normal. It is the oils coming out of the leaves that is causing the smell. The oils will dry out in a couple of days and the smell will go away. This is common with boxwoods.

Other plants, patio and accessories shown in photos are not included.

Teaching Hermeneutics Made Easier!
Format: Hardcover
As a Bible teacher, the students in my class are relating to the material quite easily. This text book is far better than my "old hermeneutics textbook"! I wish I had this text book back when I was in school.

Breaking it down
Format: Hardcover
The authors do an excellent job of breaking the Bible down and explaining it in a way I have not read before. It is sectioned out starting with Genesis and rolling through the books breaking down the main points of each one. It displays how each builds on each other and uses a unique approach to categorizing each book or books.

Very appropriate level of detail
Format: Paperback
New to orthopedics? This book is a must have! The pictures are simple, yet contain enough detail to learn information needed to perform at a professional level. The book does a great job at stepping through the anatomy. It hits all the major conditions and does so in a way that is very easy to understand and retain. Highly recommend this book!

Concise, broad, and conceptual overview
Format: Paperback
I read this book before my first Orthopaedic rotation as a fourth year medical student and it was a superb introduction to Orthopaedic Surgery. It is very concise and well written, and introduces key concepts and fundamental principles of Orthopaedics. As most medical students know, the best learning on clerkships comes from reading about clinical situations as they come up in real life. That said, its always helpful to have a brief introduction to the field before beginning a rotation and I thought this book had the breadth and focus on concepts to be a perfect introductory read since my medical school has little to no coverage of common MSK conditions in the curriculum. More depth can always be found on Orthobullets and in textbooks and the primary literature, but it's helpful to have a broad overview to start out.
